The islet of South Plaza is located to the east of Santa Cruz and features a scenic walk trail that leads you along the edges of the islands rocky cliff tops where you can enjoy superb views and plenty of birds such as Swallow Tailed Gulls, Shearwaters and Tropicbirds.

As the trail leads you inland you will be able to enjoy the varied and colourful plant life such as the tall cactus plants and the striking red or green floor cover from the sesuvium plant, which turns red during the dry season and green in the wet season.

Land Iguanas are also found here in large numbers often nibbling on the cactus fruit that can be found throughout the island and along the shore Sea Lions enjoy resting on the smooth rocks.
