Lobos Island, Galapagos
Only a short boat ride away from San Cristobal this superb island which is also named "Sea Lion Island" has a large Sea Lion colony who take advantage of the soft sandy beaches and volcanic rocks that scatter the shore.

Lobos also offers plenty of other wildlife and a short walking trail will lead you past birds such as Blue Footed Boobies and Frigate Birds.

Plenty of Marine Iguanas can be found sunning themselves on the volcanic rocks and the snorkeling here is lots of fun as you will find yourself sharing the waters with plenty of Sea Lions as well as Turtles and Tropical Fish.
