Daphne Island Travel Guide, Galapagos
Daphne Island is one of the Galapagos Islands and is located to the north of Santa Cruz Island. It contains a large volcanic crater with unique rock formations.

The island has a strict limit on the numbers of people permitted to visit the island which is primarily used by scientists for research purposes. Those with permission to disembark here will be rewarded with several species of birds such as Galapagos Finches, Owls, Magnificent Frigate Birds and Boobies.

Many cruises will sail close to the island where you will be able to spot many of the different bird species. The marine life is also excellent in the area with Sharks, Sea Turtles and Moray Eels amongst those often sighted.
