National Museum Of Fine Arts, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
The National Museum of Fine Arts or Museu Nacional de Belas Artes is one of the most well known and respected art museums in Rio de Janeiro.

The museum was founded in around 1806 when several French artists arrived in Brazil and displays many collections of fine art which are organized in chronological order within the galleries.

Collections within the National Museum include paintings, sculptures, items of furniture and some African art by artists such as Nicolas Taunay, Pedro Americo and Victor Meirelles.
