North Brazil
Brazil's largest region is home to a large proportion of the the Amazon rain forest with its abundantly rich biodiversity which offers unique Amazon jungle tours, Amazon River cruises, hiking and many superb wildlife viewing opportunities.

North Brazil comprises of the seven states of Acre, Amapa, Amazonas, Para, Rondonia, Roraima and Tocantins all of which covers an area of just over 1,000,000 square miles.

North Brazil Travel Guide
North Brazil can be most easily reached via airplane to either Manaus International Airport or Belem International Airport (BEL) which both have connections to several other areas of the country including Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Fortaleza, Recife and Brasilia. There are also long distance busses available to cities such as Manaus, Belem, Porto Velho and Palmas.

North Brazil Beaches
There are several beaches in the north of Brazil especially in the state of Para which include Ilha do Mosqueiro which is around 45 miles north of Belem and Salinopolis Beach, which is another popular beach resort in Para which is about 130 miles away from Belem with regular bus services going to it from Belem.

North Brazil Climate
Brazil's northern climate is best described as being humid equatorial with temperatures averaging between 68 and 96 degrees Fahrenheit.

Tourist Attractions

One of the main tourist attractions is the Amazon Rainforest of which Brazil contains around 60% of the total area with the majority being in the north of the country.
