Manly Festival of Surfing
The Manly Festival Of Surfing offers plenty of action sports both in and out of the water with competitions sanctioned by the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) and attracting amateur and the very leading surfing professionals in the world to participate in these hotly contested events.

With huge prize money for the mens and women's surfing competitions its no surprise that the surfing talent to be found at Manly is exceptional and can be easily viewed along Manly beach with the grandstands that are in place.

As well as the surfing action the event also features skateboarding with professional skateboarders descending on Manly during the festival for the impressive skateboarding competition which is held within the Beach Bowl which also offers superb viewing with grandstands surrounding it allowing the hundreds of spectators to marvel at some of the finest skateboarding action to be found in Sydney.

This popular festival also offers live music entertainment with various bands playing over the course of the event to a packed and lively audience.

The date varies each year but has previously taken place during the months of November and February.

Travel Guide
There is limited parking at Manly during the event and travelling by bus is often a great alternative as there are frequent services from the city. You can also travel by ferry from Circular Quay to Manly Wharf and then walk the short distance of around 600 meters to reach the beach.
