Miami Beach
The long stretch of Miami South beach is lined with palms and contains wonderful white clean sand, clear blue sea and plenty of space for beach activities, swimming and surfing.

There are several lifeguards positioned along the beach and their flags will let you know about any dangerous conditions that you need to be aware of, such as if a red flag is out it means that there are very strong rip currents around, or a yellow flag with a black jellyfish within it then it means that there are Portuguese man of war jellyfish in the sea. The Miami Beach Ocean Rescue is located between 10th and 11th Street, off Ocean Drive.

You can best access the beach from Ocean Drive where you will also find plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops as well as hundreds of nightclubs.

There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful clear blue sea, with surfing, windsurfing, paddle boating, paddle boarding, yachting and snorkeling amongst the list of things to do in and around Miami beach. The surf is generally better at the South Pointe end of the beach.
