Seville Fair (Feria de abril de Sevilla)
The Seville Fair is one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year and dates back to 1847 and is a great chance to witness traditional Andalusian dress, Flamenco dancing and Sevillanos having a great time.

Each day the fair is opened with a parade of beautifully turned out ridden and carriage Andalusian horses which form a parade towards the historic bullring known as La Real Maestranza carrying many well known citizens of Seville.

The fair contains simply hundreds of casetas which are large marquees which have been have beautifully decorated creating a colourful spectacle inside and out, some of these casetas are private and are invitation only while others are open to the public.

The fair has no end of traditional Flamenco dancing and live music as well as plenty of food and drink which includes Seville's famous tapas. There is a large fairground also on site providing great fun for all the family as well as other events such as firework displays.

The fair is one of the best times to witness traditional Andalusian dress with women wearing the colourful flamenco style dresses and men wearing a suit known as Traje corto made up of trousers, boots, hat and a short smart jacket.

Date Of Seville Fair
This annual fair takes place shortly after Easter (approximately 2 weeks) and runs for about 6 days starting at midnight on a Monday and ending at midnight on Sunday.

The fair takes place along the bank of the Guadalquivir River in Seville.
