New Years Eve
Seville has a great atmosphere on New Years Eve with plenty of events taking place throughout the city from lively nightclubs and packed out plaza's to restaurants and private functions.

Many families choose to dine out on New Years Eve before heading on to nightclubs, bars and general party's and you'll find that the city is abuzz with activity, with numerous organised New Years Eve event's taking place at restaurants, bars and hotels although you will obviously need to book well in advance and be aware that many tapas bars and restaurants close earlier than usual or are completely shut on this day.

The Plaza Nueva in the centre of the city is a popular place to be at midnight where large crowds gather to await the clock chimes and to participate in the traditional eating of the 12 grapes, one for each of the chimes at midnight in order to bring good luck in the forthcoming year.

New Years Day (Ano Nuevo) is a public holiday and is closely followed by the welcome arrival of the Three Kings on the eve of the Epiphany.

New Years Eve is celebrated on the 31st of December and is closely followed by Three Kings Parade on the 5th of January.

There are events taking place throughout the city, with the Plaza Nueva in the centre of the city popular at midnight.
