Corpus Christi (Feria de Corpus Christi)
This important Roman Catholic festival celebrates the Holy Eucharist and is widely celebrated throughout the city with many attending church services, events and processions on this day.

The festival features elaborate religious processions with floats adorned with flowers and religious icons as well as parades of big heads and giants along with no end of singing, dancing, live music and theatre entertainment across the city and a fun fair for good measure.

There are also plenty of stalls at the fairground offering a tasty selection of Spanish food and drink and at the end of the Corpus Christi celebrations the evening is often rounded off with a suitably noisy fireworks display.

Date Of Corpus Christi
Corpus Christi celebrations take place annually during June on the first Thursday that follows Trinity Sunday, and 60 days after Easter Monday.

There are events and celebrations held throughout the city at theatres, squares such as Bib-Rambla and churches with the entertaining fairground located at Almanjayar.
