All Saints Day (Todos los Santos)
On All Saints Day the cemeteries throughout the country are covered with flowers as friends and families visit the graveyards where deceased relatives are buried, to lay flowers, light candles and attend mass.

All Saints Day is also often a public holiday in many areas, with many shops and businesses closed during this time. In some areas there are also processions that lead towards the cemeteries and flower sellers can often be found close to cemeteries.

In theatres across Barcelona there are also rare theatrical performances of a play known as Don Juan Tenorio which was written by Jose Zorrill in 1844 and which are only performed around this time.

Date Of All Saints Day
All Saints Day is celebrated on the 1st of November each year.

Churches and cemeteries throughout the country are visited during this time.
