Fira de Santa Llucia
The Fira de Santa Llucia is one of Barcelona's most well known Christmas markets that is simply packed with stalls selling a wide range of decorations, clothing, accessories and gift ideas.

The market offers hundreds of stalls full with decorations such as Christmas trees, inventive tree trunks with faces and legs which are called Caga Tio logs as well as beautiful nativity figurines and all the accessories needed for decorating a nativity scene for the home.

There are also clothing and jewellery stalls as well as craft, toys and other gift ideas in amongst the many stalls present and the market is open throughout the day and into the evening as well.

One of the busiest days at the market is December the 8th which is the Day of Immaculate Conception, a day when many people spend time with their families and visit the market and the impressive nativity scene that is put up in front of the Town Hall at the Placa Sant Jaume which is only about 250 meters away from Barcelona Cathedral.

The market begins on the 25th of November and runs until the 23rd of December.

The Fira de Santa Llucia takes place in the Placa Seu which is in front of Barcelona Cathedral within the Avinguda de la Catedral in the old Gothic quarter of the city.

The market is around 650 meters south east of the Placa Catalunya and can be reached by subway to station Juame l (L4) and Catalunya station (L1) alternatively the market cane be reached by bus to Via Laietana (17, 19, 40, 45 and N8).
