Barcelona Aquarium
The vast Barcelona Aquarium is home to around 35 tanks and well over 10,000 animals from the Mediterranean sea containing animals such as sharks, Lionfish, Yellow Boxfish, Turtles, Piranha's, Jellyfish, Sea Horse's, Rays and Penguins are amongst a few of the animals found within the Aquarium.

The aquarium is well known for the 80 meter long underwater tunnel known as the Oceanarium which is very popular and provides a unique and visually stunning area to walk through. There is also plenty of information about the many different species of animals and there habitats throughout the site with the addition of areas such as the Explora educational area which offers interactive educational resources.

There is a cafeteria as well as a gift shop which offers plenty of souvenir and gift ideas from soft toys and stationary to clothing and literature.

Location Of The Aquarium
The Aquarium is located on Moll d'Espanya del Port Vell which is close to the Maremagnum.

Travel Guide
The Aquarium can be reached by Subway to Drassanes (L3) and Barceloneta (L4), alternatively there are ample busses going to the area often including 36, 59, 64, 120 and D20.
