Prague Folklore Days
This unique festival was started in 2007 and brings together folklore ensembles and enthusiasts from around the world who come to the historic city of Prague for one of the largest folk dance events in central Europe.

The event features superb costumes which are worn by those taking part and includes open air performances as well as street parades, which often include well timed marching bands, talented majorettes and historically dressed soldiers with a variety of age groups taking part.

The open air performances by the folklore ensembles start at around 10 in the morning and finish around 7-7.30 depending on the day and take place in two of Prague's most well known squares which are Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, both of which have their own charm and historic sites of interest.

Date Of Prague Folklore Days
This annual event changes date each year, although is often in July or August.

The main areas that the event takes place are within Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and Republic Square.

Travel Guide
Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square are only 800 meters apart and easily reached on foot. Old Town Square is served by both tram and metro at Staromestska Station and Wenceslas Square can also reached by tram and metro to Mustek station which is served by metro lines A and B.
