Jog Falls, India
This impressive waterfall is also known as Gerusoppe Falls and is around 830 feet in height making it the tallest plunge waterfall in India.

Jog Falls is split into four sections which are named the Raja, which when looking at the falls is on the far left, then next to it is the Roarer, followed by the Rocket and the Rani is on the far right hand side.

It is the Sharavathi River that forms the waterfall and after Jog Falls the river continues on to the Arabian Sea at Honavar in North Kanara. The waterfall totally changes during the monsoon season where the river plunges dramatically down over it.

There are plenty of viewing spots where you can really appreciate the full beauty of this incredible waterfall which is at is most impressive between August and November. And there is also plenty of superb scenery in the surrounding area.
