The Mausoleum of Mohammed V contains three important tombs, that of King Mohammed V and his sons King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah.

The modern and symmetrical building was completed in 1971 and features several beautiful arches, wall carvings, columns and a striking pointed green tiled roof. The interior contains marble floors, decorative wall tiles and the three tombs. There is an elaborate central dome which features beautiful carvings and several stained glass windows.

Opposite the Mausoleum is the Hassan Tower and the remains of an incomplete Mosque.

The mausoleum is positioned a few 100 meters away from the edge of the Oued Bou Regreg river within Rabat.
