Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca
The Hassan II Mosque was built in 1993 and is the largest mosque in Morocco which is able accommodate some 25,000 worshipers within its walls.

The building was designed by Michel Pinseau a French architect and built by the Bouygues company at the request of King Hassan II who wanted a magnificent mosque to be built.

The mosque has a prominent position next to the ocean and features an enormous 210 meter high minaret and a beautiful interior which contains marble floors and columns, wall carvings and intricate mosaics.

The mosque is open to non Muslims and there are guided tours available.

Attraction Location Guide
The Hassan II Mosque is situated at the waters edge around 2 kilometers away from the Gare Casa Port. If you get lost then look up and you'll most probably be able to see its minaret to guide you there.
